Your first session is designed to identify the underlying contributors to your pain and restricted movement.
Many people seek treatment after trying other approaches that provided only temporary relief. In many cases, the reason pain continues is that the underlying soft-tissue pattern has not yet been identified.
During your first visit, I use my Pain Relief Mapping™ assessment process to evaluate how tension patterns are moving throughout your body. This allows treatment to focus on the tissues most responsible for the pain rather than only the area where discomfort is felt.
• discussion of your current pain patterns and history
• evaluation of muscular tension and fascial restriction
• identification of trigger point referral patterns
• assessment of postural stress and compensation patterns
• targeted therapeutic bodywork based on findings
Because this evaluation process takes time, most new clients choose a 90-minute session for their first appointment so the assessment and treatment can be performed thoroughly.
The goal of your first visit is to begin restoring mobility, reducing muscular guarding, and helping your body move toward lasting relief.
If you are experiencing persistent pain or limited movement, this assessment is the first step toward understanding what your body needs to heal.
